⚽ Yesterday, as I was wrapping up day 2 of RSAC in San Francisco and catching up on the day’s news, I came across the update I always knew would be difficult to read one day: Mo Salah announced that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season 😓

For most people, the first thought as they celebrate his legacy is goals, trophies, and records. 🏆

What I reflected on was the mindset behind his legacy.

🔹 Consistency
🔹 Discipline
🔹 Composure under pressure
🔹 Adaptation through change
🔹 Standards that outlast the moment
🔹 Transparency and trust that survive change
🔹 A proof record that is undisputable.

That, to me, is what legacy really means.

And that is also what strong security leadership looks like in the Agentic AI era. 🤖🔐

✍ This era will not reward noise 😇

It will reward leaders who can stay clear-headed, adapt quickly, operate with discipline, and build trust at scale.

The best leaders leave behind more than results.

They leave behind:
✅ Standards
✅ Trust
✅ Resilience
✅ Discipline
✅ Adaptability

That is the kind of mindset and standard I aimed to put into action in my book, “Into the Mind of Microsoft Security“. A mindset-first AI-Ready Security Strategy and Architectural Guidance for CISOs and Security Architects📘
